Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026 · StillDrill (stilldrill.com)

StillDrill builds map-based street drills for fire departments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to show you a demo and run the drills, we never sell your data, and drill activity stays anonymous.

1. Who we are

StillDrill is an independent software product for fire departments. We are not affiliated with any dispatch center, CAD vendor, or government agency, and nothing in the drills is a real call for service. Still districts, grids, addresses, and building footprints shown in demos and drills come from publicly available city GIS data and OpenStreetMap.

2. What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, department/city, email, role, staffing details, and message — only what you type in, used to reply and prepare your demo.
  • Drill usage (in-app): scores, streaks, and missed items are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. We do not receive them.
  • Bug reports (optional): if you use "Report a bug," we receive the report text plus the drill mode and district you were in. Reports go to a private review queue and are deleted after review.
  • Server logs: our host (Cloudflare) keeps standard security logs (IP, timestamp, requested URL) for abuse prevention. We do not use them for advertising or profiling.

We do not collect payment information, Social Security numbers, government IDs, or precise location data. The drills never ask for your real-time GPS.

3. What we do with it

  • Reply to your demo request and set up your department's drill site.
  • Fix bugs you report.
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse of the sites.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Subprocessors are limited to our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and, if a drill includes turn-by-turn routing, a public routing service that receives only the start and end points of a planned route — never your identity.

4. Your choices

  • Access or deletion: email contact@stilldrill.com and we will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it.
  • Drill scores: clearing your browser storage for the site erases your local scores immediately.
  • Unsubscribe: any email we send about your demo request can be opted out of by replying "unsubscribe."

5. How long we keep data

Demo-request leads are kept while we work with your department and removed on request or after 24 months of no contact. Bug reports are deleted after review. Server security logs expire on Cloudflare's standard schedule.

6. Cookies & analytics

The site sets one functional cookie only when a department's private drill area needs a passcode — it remembers you're unlocked for 30 days and contains no personal data. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. If we ever add analytics, this section will be updated first.

7. Security

Data is stored in access-controlled systems with encrypted transport (HTTPS everywhere). We collect so little that there is nothing sensitive to breach: no passwords, no payment data, no government IDs, and no medical or patient information of any kind.

8. Children

StillDrill is intended for working firefighters and fire department staff. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Your California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may request to know what personal information we hold and request deletion. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. Requests: contact@stilldrill.com.

11. Not legal advice

StillDrill is a training aid. It is not an official product of any fire department, not a dispatch system, and not a substitute for your department's official run cards, pre-plans, or SOPs. District boundaries and addresses are reproduced from public data and may be out of date; always confirm against official sources. Nothing on this site is legal, safety, or operational advice.
